Tired of the textbook?
Chocolate English eu helps you improve your English through authentic material--newspapers and magazines, brochures, movies and YouTube videos, menus, websites, phone conversations, anything you will hear, read or see in the real English-speaking world.
If you've wanted to learn to speak American English, you've had to go to a language school in the US. But no longer. You can now practice American-style English in Malta with a private tutor and learn to speak the form of English that is the most widely used in the world for business, surfing the Web and communicating informally and formally.
Our private or group lessons are customized to what you want or need to learn--not what comes next in the textbook. You don't have to worry that you've already had that lesson before because all our lessons are created from original material.
Chocolate English eu is intended for students speaking at intermediate-B1, upper-intermediate-B2, advanced-C1 and proficient-C2 levels. (Beginning and elementary-A1 and pre-intermediate-B2 students often need the structure textbook-based lessons provide.) **
Lessons and Methods include:
- Assessment of all your language skills-- not just grammar and reading comprehension.
- Focusing on everyday English conversation, reading and writing--informal and formal.
- Intensive help with pronunciation and intonation.
- Tips for learning how to speak more like a native speaker.
- Personalized help with specific grammar problems and learning grammar in context--not just from books.
- Discussions about literature and poetry, if desired.
- "Walk-and-Talk" excursions to shops, cafes, supermarkets in the community to practice English.
- English for Special Purposes--Archaeology, Medical, Work and Career English.
- Assistance with informal (emails, Facebook) and formal writing.
- Writing to get published in English on the Web.
- Publish your first article on our student blog: Voices of Chocolate English
eu.
Arrange as many lessons you require. There is no minimum number of classes you have to take. You can even arrange for follow-up lessons via the phone (SKYPE) or online after you go back home.
Pay for lessons as you go. Fees are competitive with other language instruction in Malta, and are not required in advance. Fees cover all copies of any materials used in the lessons.
You will receive a weekly progress report, summarizing your language goals, the content of your lessons and the new language skills you have acquired. At the end of your lessons, you’ll receive suggestions on how to further improve or maintain your English skills. Finally, there’s a chocolate treat waiting for you when you finish your lessons.
We look forward to working with you. The most important thing is that you enjoy your lessons. If you enjoy your lessons, you'll learn. And remember: English lessons should be like chocolate: they should be good, they should be fun and they should make you want to come back for more.
